Potawatomi Business Development Corporation Acquires dlf Architects & Engineers

Launches Potawatomi Design Group

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, May 4, 2006 – The Potawatomi Business Development Corporation (PBDC), owned and operated by the Forest County Potawatomi Community, announced today its acquired dlf Architects and Engineers of Norman, Oklahoma, and will re-name the firm the Potawatomi Design Group. This is the first 100 percent ownership acquisition for the PBDC and the second major acquisition in three months.

“The acquisition of dlf is an excellent fit, and is a sign of progress and momentum in the tribe’s ongoing commitment to diversify beyond gaming,” said Carol Leese, Potawatomi Business Development Corporation CEO. “The firm has a tremendous amount of talent and resources, and can grow the business quickly.”

Dlf’s current clients include City of Seminole, Tinker Air Force Base, City of Oklahoma City--Will Rogers Airport, and Rolling Meadows Housing Addition. The firm will pursue the appropriate minority ownership designations which positions the firm for additional business opportunities with Federal government contracting and corporations throughout the U.S.

The firm recently hired a marketing director and will soon begin a national marketing and sales campaign. In addition to its current Oklahoma City area office, the firm will open a Milwaukee office.

PBDC recently took a majority ownership stake in the technology firm 1Prospect. Until the dlf and 1Prospect acquisitions, PBDC’s previous business activity focused on fund or partnership investments. PBDC has a two-prong strategy of passive investments and acquisitions. To date, PBDC has made over 12 investments worth more than $20 million.
